Houston-based Goodrich Petroleum Corp. completed two Haynesville discoveries in DeSoto Parish, La.’s Bethany Longstreet Field. The #1 Wurtsbaugh 35 H was tested flowing 22.5 MMcf of gas per day. It was drilled to 16,420 ft, 11,696 ft true vertical, in Section 35-14n-16w and bottomed to the south. Production is from fracture-stimulated perforations at 11,846-16,299 ft. About 1.5 miles to the southwest, #1 Demmon 34 H flowed 22.51 MMcf of gas per day from fracture-treated perforations at 11,692-16,603 ft. It was drilled to the south in Section 34-14n-16w to 16,746 ft to a proposed true vertical depth of 11,800 ft.
