According to IHS Markit, Midland, Texas-based Copper Ridge Resources LLC has completed the first horizontal producer in Glasco Field, a Midland Basin oil pool. The venture is on a 153-acre Gaines County (RRC Dist. 8A), Texas, lease. The #1X Maria pumped 449 bbl of 39-degree-gravity crude and 1.652 Mbbl of water per day from an acidized openhole Devonian interval at 12,568-13,847 ft. It was drilled to 13,847 ft, 12,604 ft true vertical, in Section 29, Block A19, PSL Survey, A-2095. The lateral bottomed within one-half mile to the north. The horizontal leg was drilled out of a vertical hole that was completed in 2014 that was tested pumping 312 bbl of 38-degree-gravity oil per day from an openhole Devonian interval at 12,570-88 ft.
