Description
Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) of Dehradun, India, completed exploration well #2 Loto, its second exploration well onshore Colombia in the Llanos Basin Block CPO-5. The well was drilled to 10,320 ft and a liner was inserted and cemented. Production is from two zones within Mirador L1 and L3: electric log analysis indicated the existence of 54 ft net pay. L1 tested water and oil with water cut of 96% and 16-degree-gravity oil, and L3 tested water and oil with 97% and 10 degree-gravity oil. The well has been temporarily suspended pending further analysis of these results. ONGC is the operator of Block CPO-5 and the discovery well with 70% interest in partnership with Petro Dorado, holding 30%.
