Hess Corp. plans to bypass a deepwater development test at the New York City-based company’s Stampede project Green Canyon Block 512. The #1SB (BP) OCS G26315 is in the northern portion of the block. According to the permit, the original hole will be bypassed at 18,983 ft. Area water depth is 3,600 ft. The offsetting #2SB OCS G26315 was drilled in 2016 to an unreported depth. Hess’ Stampede project is a joint development of the Pony discovery on Green Canyon Block 468 and the Knotty Head discovery on Green Canyon Block 512.
