Description
A Cotton Valley test has been scheduled by Barrow-Shaver Resources Co. in Morris County (RRC Dist. 6), Texas, as part of the company’s expanding Cotton Valley oil program. The #1 Pollan has a planned vertical depth of 13,000 ft and is on a 176-acre lease in Ensign B. Smith Survey, A-253. According to the permit, a successful completion could extend Linden East Field. Nearby production is within 4 miles to the east-northeast at the company’s #1 Quarles, a remote discovery made in mid-2017. The well flowed 28 bbl of 50.1-degree-gravity oil and 15 Mcf of gas per day from Cotton Valley at 12,036-70 ft. Through June 2018, well output from the Linden East Field well is 36.201 Mbbl of crude and 20.1 MMcf of gas. The #1 Quarles was the first drilling in Morris County since 2004.
