A horizontal Bone Spring well by Caza Oil & Gas Inc. was completed in Eddy County, N.M. The #1H Forehand Ranch 27 State Com is in Section 27-23s-27e and was fracture stimulated in Second Bone Spring sand in 12 stages. After two weeks of controlled flowback, Caza is cleaning up the well but production has stabilized. In December, the well recovered 170 bbl. of oil, 103,000 cu. ft. of gas and 1,444 bbl. of fracturing fluid over a 24-hour period from 7,750-11,798 ft. Caza drilled a 9,450-ft. pilot hole with a south-trending horizontal lateral that was drilled to 11,925 ft., 7,400 ft. true vertical. Midland, Texas-based Caza has a 54.83% working interest before payout and a 63% working interest after payout.
