Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. completed a Marcellus Shale discovery that produced 41 MMcf of gas per day. The #6 Hordis C is in Section 5, Hop Bottom 7.5 Quad, Lathrop Township, in Susquehanna County, Pa. It was drilled to 12,195 ft with a true vertical depth of 7,406 ft. Production is from perforations between 7,619 and 12,120 ft, and it was tested after 15-stage fracturing. Cabot’s headquarters are in Houston.
