Description
ARD Exploration LLC has set production casing at the Boulder, Colo.-based company’s first operated test. The Escambia County, Ala., well, #1 SA Timberlands 16-7, was directionally drilled to 14,528 ft in Smackover. The company is waiting on completion tools and 5 1/2-in. casing is set on bottom at the Canaan Church West Field test. The venture is in Section 16-3n-7e. Nearby production is about one-half mile south of a 1996 completion by Pruet Production. The #1 Atic 10-13 was tested flowing 312 bbl of 49.2-degree-gravity crude and 532 Mcf of gas per day from Smackover at 14,040-50 ft. Online for five years, recovery from the 14,464-ft well was 747.48 Mbbl of crude and 1.5 Bcf of gas. West of ARD’s Smackover test are Robinson Creek and Robinson Creek North fields, which last produced in 2015.
