Lillian Comegys Jones

Lillian Jones started on her E&P path at the age of 17. She is currently a geophysicist employed by Apache Corp. for the past eight years this upcoming August. She has worked Gulf Coast Onshore, Midland, Exploration & Production Technology, Houston-based Egypt Region, and Suriname assets during that tenure. She is currently an appraisal geophysicist for the Suriname team. 

Prior to Apache, Jones attended the Colorado School of Mines for her M.S. in geophysics and the College of Charleston for her B.S. in geology. She is active in her local professional society, the Geophysical Society of Houston (GSH). She has held the board roles of Secretary (2016-2017) and SEG Council Representative for the GSH (2020-2022). Recently she was the committee chair for NextGen, the early career group within the GSH, organizing a lecture series exploring the different roles of geophysicists outside of the petroleum industry as well as several trivia events.
