  • E&P Companies
    A company involved in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas resources. E&P companies explore for, drill and produce hydrocarbons. Examples of qualified E&P companies include: Anadarko, Apache, BHP Billiton, BP, Cabot Oil & Gas, Chesapeake, CONSOL Energy, Hess, Pioneer Natural Resources, Range Resources, and Statoil – to name a few.
  • Pipeline Operators
    A company that owns the assets used for natural gas and liquids gathering, transmission and distribution. Examples of qualified pipeline operators include: Enbridge, Kinder Morgan, MarkWest Energy Partners, Phillips 66, Plains All American Pipeline, and TransCanada – to name a few.
  • Refineries
    A company that owns an industrial process plant where crude oil is processed and refined into a variety of petroleum products. Examples of qualified refineries include: ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Marathon Oil, Saudi Aramco, Tesoro Corp., and Valero Energy – to name a few.
  • Utilities Company
    A company that supplies retail natural gas to residential, industrial and commercial end users. Examples of qualified utility companies include: Atmos Energy Corp., Dominion, Centerpoint Energy, Columbia Gas, Oklahoma Natural Gas, and National Fuel – to name a few.

What types companies DO NOT qualify?

Company types that do not qualify include service and supply companies, consulting firms, financial firms, law firms or any other companies or individuals that are contracted to work for operators.
