Welcome to the Executive Oil Conference 2023

Producing more than 5.7 MMbbl/d, the Permian Basin is the world’s most productive oil field, far exceeding that of Saudi Arabia’s Ghawar in daily output, making the U.S. the world’s largest oil producer again. The basin is also surfacing more than 22 Bcf/d of associated gas that’s increasingly supplying LNG exporters on the Gulf Coast and, soon, to exporters on Mexico’s west coast. And more formations remain untapped, resulting in hundreds of thousands of additional wells that are probable and possible in addition to the tens of thousands currently PDP and PUD. As midstream operators continue to add more pipe capacity, operators continue to increase ROI and EUR with ongoing innovation in lateral placements and completions. And all the while, basin leaders are further solving for emissions. The annual Executive Oil Conference gathers Permian and industry-wide oil leaders in solving for addressing their tasks of today for assured results for decades to come.

The Bigger Oil-Basin Buyer: Sealing Up The E&P

Basin consolidation has ramped despite the higher cost of money, bringing in nonop partners in deals to supplement new seller demands for a cash component, resulting in buyers’ smaller equity dilution and debt issuance. Learn more about this consolidator’s success.

Heard at the Pond: The Water Breakthrough

From sourcing to recycling to disposal and seismic, these experts describe modern tacks in water-handling. Breakthroughs are being made in beneficial reuse—at a do-able price.

These producers, ranging from public to private and large and small, discuss OFS-cost price deflation, the next formations, use of cash flow, increasing EURs, advancing the days-to-payback and managing for natgas volatility..

What is Going On in the Regulatory World - For Real?

Class VI well permitting is off to an anemic start. Land access continues to be constrained. New methane-emissions rules kick in Jan. 1, but what/where are they? What’s coming oil and gas producers’ way?

But note: How much value are investors giving to pure-plays these days?

Permian OFS Activity Drivers - 2024: Growth Cycle or Bleak Future

As basin consolidation continues, operators work within cash flow and fewer startups are being funded to expand the economic boundaries of the Permian, where do OFS operators find growth opportunities today?

SPEAKER:
Justin Mayorga, Vice President, Supply-Chain Research, Rystad Energy

Greener Oil: Decarbon'ing With CCS

Operators are green-ing oil, using CCS, and picking up offsets to green up the rest. These innovators and leaders describe the fast pace at which the industry might become carbon-neutral. So much money’s available, but what’s shovel-ready?

Efficiency and Sustainability: Triple Crown in the Southern Midland Basin

Methane monitoring—and crucially, response—is among the highest ROR projects in an oil and gas company portfolio. Here’s an operator’s view from the road with the National Petroleum Council and IPAA on how to manage emissions compliance risks prudently.
