Houston-based independent oil and gas producer W&T Offshore Inc. announced the appointment of John Poole to its management team as the vice president of health, safety, environmental and regulatory (HSE&R), according to an Oct. 10 release.
According to the release, Poole holds nearly 30 years of HSE&R industry experience in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM). Prior to joining W&T Offshore, Poole held positions in HSE&R with several E&Ps in the GoM, including Apache Corp., Fieldwood Energy, EnVen Energy and Talos Energy.
“W&T has a foundation of commitment to HSE&R and with John’s extensive industry experience, he will help W&T continue to progress forward our ESG initiatives and expand our capabilities,” Tracy Krohn, chairman and CEO, said in a release.
