CNOOC Ltd. has brought onstream its Suizhong 36-1/Luda 5-2 project in the shallow waters of the Bohai Sea, the company said Feb. 5.
CNOOC’s operated Suizhong 36-1/Luda 5-2 oilfield secondary adjustment and development project is in water depths of about 30 m in Bohai Sea’s Liaodong Bay.
The main production facilities include two new central processing platforms and two new wellhead platforms. CNOOC plans 118 development wells, including 81 producers and 37 water injection wells. The project is expected to reach peak production of approximately 30,300 bbl/d in 2025.
CNOOC said this project represents the largest secondary development and adjustment project offshore China. The development relies on onshore power supply.
CNOOC Ltd. holds 100% interest in the project.
