Packers Plus Energy Services Inc. completed the acquisition of Conroe, Texas-based completions companies, Eagle Downhole Solutions LLC and CMC Machine Works LLC, the company announced Jan. 30.

Eagle Downhole Solutions provides downhole tools and product development solutions to the oil and gas industry to solve completion and production issues in shale field development. The company is the creator of the E-Pak ESP Packer, a specialty completion tool designed to protect casing from high levels of sour gas.

CMC Machine Works offers high-end manufacturing and machining services that will add to Packers Plus state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities.

Packers Plus, headquartered in Calgary, is the innovator of open hole multi-stage completions systems.

"These strategic acquisitions will allow Packers Plus to diversify our product offering for our clients and position us for accelerated growth in the United States and around the globe," Dan Themig, Packers Plus president and CEO, said in the release.
