Mohican River Energy Holdings LLC has retained Meagher Energy Advisors to sell certain Utica shale leasehold in Ohio.

The package includes 100% working interest (80% net revenue interest) in 2,714 gross and net acres in Ashland and Wayne counties, with 1,293 acres covering all depths and approximately 62% of the acreage held by production. The assets are within the oil and wet gas-producing windows of the Utica and are surrounded by major Utica players, including Devon Energy Corp. and Chesapeake Energy Corp. to the west and north of the Mohican River.

Upside includes multiple drilling target formation, with potential upside in the Trenton/Black River area.
