Bureau Veritas To Acquire Drilling Failure Prevention Service

To purchase worldwide oil and gas drilling failure prevention and analysis services provider, which develops drill string design, manufacture, operation and inspection standards.

Neuilly-sur-Seine, France-based Bureau Veritas plans to buy Houston-based TH Hill Inc., a worldwide oil and gas drilling failure prevention and analysis services provider, for an undisclosed price.

TH Hill provides quality assurance, engineering and training services to minimize the risk of structural and mechanical failure of both onshore and offshore drilling equipment. TH Hill also develops drill string design, manufacture, operation and inspection standards. TH Hill operates in more than 50 countries and has offices in Canada and Brazil.

The transaction is expected to be completed in April.
