Exploration blocks

GeoGlobal Resources Inc., Calgary, (Amex: GGR), state-run Oil India Ltd., New Dehli, India, and others have acquired four onshore exploration blocks in India from the new exploration licensing policy for an undisclosed price. The assets include Blocks 20 and 21 covering approximately 3,526 square kilometers in the Rajasthan Basin in the Rajasthan state in northwestern India. Block 28 covers approximately 548 square kilometers in the Krishna Godavari Basin, directly adjacent to GeoGlobal's offshore KG Block. Block 27 covers approximately 2,649 square kilometers in the in Deccan Syneclise Basin in the northern state of Maharashtra in west-central India. GeoGlobal has a 25% participating interest in blocks 20 and 21, with Oil India owning 75% and 60% interest, respectively, and is operator. India-based Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd. owns the remaining 15% interest. GeoGlobal owns 10% interest (with option to acquire up to 25%) in Block 28 and Oil India owns 90%. GeoGlobal owns a 100% interest in Block 27 and is operator.
