Jeff Share has been reporting on the energy industry for over 25 years and among my biggest disappointments has been the dearth of women in upper management roles. When he wrote his book “The Oil Makers, An Insider’s Perspective of the Petroleum Industry,” he interviewed about 150 executives, of whom 30 made the final cut. Only one of those was a woman. So perhaps this is an appropriate time to see how far we’ve come, and how far we still need to go.

Jeff tells about several women he interviewed through the years who were truly extraordinary executives.
