Oil and Gas Investor has acquired COSCO Capital Management LLC’s annual “Private Capital for Energy Forum.” Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Forum founder and COSCO managing director Cameron O. Smith will continue to play an active role in the conference, which is scheduled for early June in Houston. Bookmark this page for more information on this conference and other important meetings: www.hartenergyconferences.com The conference has been renamed Oil and Gas Investor’s Energy Capital Forum, and the agenda has been expanded to focus on both private and public equity and debt. A special half-day pre-conference workshop, “Energy Capital—The Workshop: Starting and Building an E&P Company” will bring the start-up niche to the expanded program. Hart Energy Publishing LP president and chief executive Rich Eichler says, “We are pleased to add this prestigious forum to the Investor franchise and expand its scope to cover public and traditional debt financing.” Investor publisher Shelley Lamb says, “Oil and Gas Investor has reported on all aspects of the upstream financial markets for 27 years, so it is only natural for us to broaden the scope of the event under the Energy Capital Forum banner.” Smith says, “We had fun with this forum over the years, but the time has come to turn the event over to an organization whose primary mission is to disseminate information on the oil and gas financial markets and no one does this better than Oil and Gas Investor.” The forum began in 1997 and Investor has co-hosted it since 1999.
