Actenum Corp. announced that YPF SA—a subsidiary of Repsol YPF SA—has acquired a second Actenum Rig Activity Scheduler (RAS) software license for scheduling all pulling rigs and workover activities.
The second license builds on YPF’s success in using Actenum RAS to manage drilling scheduling starting in 2008. For workover scheduling, E&P operations will use Actenum RAS to automatically create schedules for more than 200 activities per year, based on important technical and business constraints such as well integrity, equipment availability, cost, and production output.
At the same time, YPF users will be better able to deal with operational changes and schedule disruptions by utilizing the software’s decision-support features to create and evaluate multiple scenarios before selecting the most appropriate course of action.
Deployment is expected to be completed in Q3 2010.
