Trenton Thornock was hired as group CFO of WellDog, the service company said Dec. 4. Based in Houston, he will oversee WellDog’s global finance operations, leading the finance team and supporting continued expansion in North America and Asia-Pacific.
Currently, Thornock is a board member at Breitling Energy Corp. Prior to joining WellDog, he was senior vice president and CFO of Scientific Drilling International. Previously, he was CFO and vice president of finance for Duratherm and US Zinc, and was chairman of the board for Aviation Consultants Inc. He has worked in many international markets, WellDog added.
“I am pleased to be joining WellDog,” Thornock said. “I look forward to the company’s continued rapid growth and to WellDog achieving its potential as a global player in the oil and gas service sector.”
He has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Utah and is a certified public accountant.
WellDog is based in Denver.
