Talisman Ltd., a subsidiary of Talisman Energy Inc., Calgary, (NYSE, Toronto: TLM) has begun oil production from the Song Doc field in Block 46/02 offshore Vietnam. Gross production from five drilled wells is expected to reach 25,000 barrels of oil per day by early next year.

Talisman's share of the reserves is estimated at 6 million barrels of oil, with proved reserved of 3 million barrels. The company has a 30% interest in Block 46/02 and in Truong Son Joint Operating Co., which is the block's operator. PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Co. and Petronas Carigali Overseas have a 40%- and 30% interest in the venture, respectively. The Song Doc field facilities include a floating production storage and offloading vessel and wellhead platform.

Talisman Energy has operations in North America, the North Sea, Southeast Asia and North Africa.
Mogul Plans to Complete Third Saskatchewan Well; Previous Two Unsuccessful

, Seattle, Wash., (OTCBB: MGUY) says it plans to complete the third of its three-well program in southeastern Saskatchewan by Jan. 1, 2009.

Mogul suspended work on the first well, which began drilling in late November, after it encountered a heavily oil-stained, marginal reservoir. The second well was abandoned after encountering a wet zone at the Bakken reservoir level.

Mogul Energy has a 100% working interest in oil and gas leases on approximately 9,300 acres of land in southeast Saskatchewan.
