Algerian state energy company Sonatrach signed a deal June 25 with France’s Total to extend its supply of 2 million tonnes a year of LNG to the French market for another three years, Sonatrach said.
Relations between Sonatrach and Total had deteriorated after Algeria blocked the sale of Anadarko assets to the French company, energy sources said.
During the second quarter, Noble’s curtailments averaged about 11,000 bbl/d, which totaled 32,000 boe/d on a net basis, the company said in a statement.
The formal instruction from the energy ministry follows a determination that the Zama discovery made in the Talos-operated block in the Gulf of Mexico extends into Pemex's neighboring block.
