Saudi Arabia plans to tender a contract to build a 600 MW solar power project in Mecca, the country's energy ministry said in a tweet on March 24.
The plant is part of a wider plan to build a 2,600 MW solar power project in Saudi city, which will be implemented in phases, it said, without giving a time frame for the work's completion.
