DALLAS—San Mateo Black River Oil Pipeline LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of San Mateo Midstream LLC, announced Aug. 6 its binding open season to gauge shipper interest in committed crude oil interstate transportation service on the Stebbins Expansion Crude Oil Pipeline Project, a proposed expansion of the existing San Mateo pipeline system in Eddy County, N.M.
The expansion project is a proposed expansion of the San Mateo system further north in Eddy County consisting of approximately 19 miles of various diameter crude pipelines from certain points of origin in Eddy County to the existing San Mateo interconnect with Plains Pipeline LP in Eddy County. Commencement of commercial operations of the Expansion Project is targeted for third-quarter 2020.
This open season provides an opportunity for shippers to support the expansion project by making acreage dedications and volume commitments for priority service, or acreage dedications for non-firm committed service, thereby becoming committed shippers for the term of their transportation services agreements. The final volume of capacity for both committed and uncommitted service on the expansion project will be determined by San Mateo in part based on the results of this open season.
The binding open season began Aug. 7, 2020 at 8 a.m. Central Time, and will end on Sept. 6, 2020 at 5 p.m. Central Time.
