The Colorado Oil & Gas Association has launched an SB 181 Resource Guide to keep its members informed during the multi-year rulemaking process.
Senate Bill 181, signed into law on April 16, could have several major impacts on the oil and gas industry in the state as rules are developed. Key areas that the association is watching include:
- Emission monitoring, which involves rules to minimize emissions as well as the installation of monitoring equipment;
- Local authority, which allows local governments to regulate land use;
- Legislative declaration, which involves the replacement of the word “foster” with “regulate” in regards to the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission; and
- Restructuring of the commission.
The guide can be found here: https://www.coga.org/sb181.html
