ConocoPhillips Skandinavia has awarded Norway-headquartered Prosafe a contract to provide accommodation support using either the Safe Boreas or Safe Zephyrus on the Ekofisk Field in relation to the tie-in of the Tommeliten Alpha field development in the North Sea, Prosafe said in a news release Oct. 26.
The 90-day contract, valued at US$13.6 million, begins in second-quarter 2022 and has an option of up to 60 days. The contact value excludes the option period.
If Norwegian authorities do not approve the Tommeliten Alpha plan for development and operation, contract cancellation charges will apply, according to the news release.
