Petrohawk Energy Corp., Houston, (NYSE: HK) plans to raise US$300 million in a private placement of senior notes due 2014 to pay debt, fund acquisitions and provide working capital.
Petrohawk has oil and gas properties primarily in northern Louisiana, East Texas, the Arkoma Basin of Arkansas and the Permian Basin of West Texas and southwestern New Mexico.
