Ray R. Seegmiller, former president, chief executive and chairman of Cabot Oil & Gas Corp., Houston, (NYSE: COG) died on May 28 at age 74 in Houston.
Seegmiller was born on May 15, 1935, in Dysart, Iowa. He graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with a bachelor of business administration. Seegmiller retired as president, CEO and chairman of Cabot in May 2002. Previous positions include president of the Domestic Petroleum Council, president and CEO of Terry Petroleum and various executive positions including president and CEO with Marathon Manufacturing Co. He began his career as an accountant for Arthur Andersen & Co.
David Bunn Talbot III, partner at Dallas-based oil and gas producer Duer Wagner III Inc., died on June 6 at age 49.
Talbot was born in Oklahoma City in 1960, and is a graduate of Heritage Hall. He attended Southern Methodist University and graduated from Oklahoma University in 1981. He later received his masters of business administration from the University of Texas in Austin.
