MegaWest Energy Corp. (fkaBrockton Capital Corp.), Calgary, (OTCBB: MGWSF) has closed its acquisition of Kentucky-based Kentucky Reserves LLC for $3 million in cash and approximately $5.5 million in stock in a deal valued at approximately $8.5 million. Kentucky Reserves has a tar-sands prospect with a 62.5% interest in the shal- low rights under mineral leases covering more than 27,000 acres in Edmonson, Warren and Butler counties, Kentucky. Slater Dome Field holdings to approxi- mately 34,600 acres.
