BP Plc (NYSE: BP) is offering operated assets for sale in the Anadarko Basin in western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.
The offer includes producing wells and behind-pipe opportunities. The assets are located in Beckham, Dewey, Roger Mills and Washita counties, Okla., and Hemphill, Lipscomb, Ochiltree and Roberts counties, Texas.
BP America Production Co., a subsidiary of the London-based company, retained The Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse to handle the sale.
Highlights:
- 49 operated producing wells;
- 31 behind-pipe opportunities;
- Net 10 billion cubic feet, 909 thousand barrels (Mbbl) of oil and 846 Mbbl of NGL;
- Major producing formations include, but are not limited to, the Cherokee, Cleveland, Granite Wash, Morrow and Red Fork; and
- Offset operators include Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: APC), Apache Corp. (NYSE: APA), EOG Resources Inc. (NYSE: EOG) and Mewbourne Oil Co.
Bids are due by Oct. 12. The sale is expected to have an Oct. 1 effective date.
