Marathon Oil Co. completed a deep southern Anadarko Basin discovery about two miles east of Rocky, Okla. The #1-11 Sturgeon is in Section 11-8n-18w in southern Washita County. It was drilled to 20,009 ft. and tested in the Morrow at 17,722-34 ft. Gas flowed at the rate of 2.13 million cu. ft. daily with 15 bbl. of water and an unreported amount of 54-gravity condensate. The site is more than a mile west of the company’s #1-12 Bunch, which was completed in February of 2006. Through June 2007, this discovery produced 347 million cu. ft. of gas.
