LLog Exploration & Production Co., Covington, La., plans an offshore Texas wildcat in the northwestern nonproducing High Island Block A-300. The #2 OCS G24420 will be drilled in 194 ft. of water. LLog acquired Blocks A-300 and A-301 at OCS Sale 184 in 2002. Nearest previous drilling on Block A-301 is 2.75 miles south-southwest where #1 OCS G02731 was abandoned at 9,403 ft. in 1974. Gas production from the Willis was about 2.5 miles north of the new location on the three-tract Block A-285 Field that yielded 82.73 billion cu. ft. of gas, 100,602 bbl. of condensate and 842,771 bbl. of water from 1980 until 2000.
