Lexaria Corp., Vancouver, (OTCBB: LXRA) says two of its producing wells in its Belmont Lake field in Mississippi have achieved production at a combined rate of 130 barrels of oil per day.
Lexaria says the wells, which have been flowing since October 2008, have produced approximately 23,000 total barrels of oil.
The PP F-52 well, which is 9 miles north of the Belmont Lake oilfield, produced approximately 20 barrels of oil per day before inclement weather interrupted production.
Lexaria says that the Belmont Lake program, which covers about 140,000 acres, come with significant 2D and 3D seismic with a replacement value in excess of $25 million.
Earlier this month, Lexaria said it had purchased an additional 2% working interest in the Belmont Lake oil and gas field and an additional 10% working interest in potential nearby exploration wells. Lexaria now has 32% working interest in Belmont Lake and 60% working interest in the exploration wells on approximately 140,000 acres surrounding Belmont Lake in all directions.
