KPMG LLP has named Regina Mayor, a nine-year veteran of the firm, as the national sector leader for the energy and natural resources practice, effective Sept. 14, the company said in a news release.
Mayor succeeds John Kunasek, who has been named national managing partner, market development.
Mayor previously served as KPMG’s energy and natural resources advisory industry leader and the Americas oil and gas leader. She has more than 20 years of experience delivering large-scale business and technology changes to major oil companies around the world, KPMG said in the release.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and government from Cornell University and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University. She has served as an adjunct professor at Rice University teaching a class on Energy Strategy for executive MBA students, the release said. She was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves and co-leads the KPMG national Veterans Network.
