Kayne Anderson Energy Funds and two executives from Zone Oil and Gas LLC have formed the Houston-based venture Zone Energy LLC to acquire and develop U.S. onshore oil and gas properties.
Kathy Hogenson will serve as Zone’s president and chief executive officer. She is the former president and chief executive officer of Santos USA Corp. and vice president, exploration and production technology officer, of Unocal Corp.
Bill Hogenson will serve as vice president. He is the former vice president, exploration, of Santos USA Corp.
Kathy Hogenson says, “We are very excited to team up with Kayne Anderson. Our strategy will be to focus on acquisitions in our target areas where we can deploy our technical and operating skills to enhance the value of acquired properties.”
Kayne Anderson manages a series of investment ventures dedicated to private equity financings for high-growth exploration and production, midstream and oilfield service companies and has more than $2 billion of capital under management.
