Dallas-based Gulftex Operating Inc. has named Paul H. Cheong senior reservoir engineer and exploration manager. He was reservoir surveillance manager for ExxonMobil Production Co.
Gulftex president Tim Burroughs says, “We felt the time was right to bring in top reservoir engineering talent and Paul Cheong has the kind of expertise we needed to manage our existing assets and help evaluate future opportunities. As senior reservoir engineer and exploration manager, Paul will make a huge contribution to our highly skilled management team and the company's aggressive growth plans.”
Gulftex is a contract operator with more than 35 wells in the North Texas Barnett shale.
