Well management specialist Exceed is underway with work on what will be Myanmar’s first ever deepwater exploration drilling campaign. The Aberdeen-based company, which says it grew its turnover to £15 million in 2014 after being formed in 2005, is delivering well management projects in the Black Sea, East Mediterranean and Indonesia, in addition to its plans for the first activity off Myanmar early in 2015. In Canada it also has a team of harsh environment drilling experts supporting operations on three rigs off the country’s eastern coast, adding that in 2015 it is also aiming to further examine its prospects in regions such as SE Asia and Brazil.
Cairn Oil & Gas will drill about 300 development/injection wells and construct 205 well pads to increase production from the Barmer fields.
Drillers cut nine oil rigs in the week to March 22, bringing the total count down to 824, the lowest since April 2018, Baker Hughes, a GE company (NYSE: BHGE), said in its weekly report.
