NEW YORK—EPIC Midstream Holdings LP’s planned 900,000 barrels per day crude oil pipeline from Crane, Texas in the Permian basin to Corpus Christi, Texas was on schedule to begin interim service during the third quarter, a spokesman said on March 20.

The project was expected to be in permanent service beginning January, spokesman Bruce Kates said in an email.

EPIC sent a letter to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in January, saying the projected start of the pipeline was in “some jeopardy” due to a delay in approval for its petition to set initial tariff rates.

A FERC spokeswoman said the case is still pending and there is no deadline for FERC action on petitions for declaratory orders.
