Energy Partners Ltd., New Orleans, completed an offshore Louisiana discovery in the southern half of West Cameron Block 141. The #1 OCS G24714 was drilled to a total depth of 10,370 ft. in 50 ft. of water. The moderate-risk, moderatepotential well encountered high-quality natural gas pay in its objective sand and is expected to be online in the second quarter of 2008. The only previous production on the block is less than a mile southeast, reports IHS Inc. In 1994, #1 OCS G13559 was tested through Miocene perforations at 9,752-70 ft. and 10,238-93 ft. and recovered 1.23 billion cu. ft. of gas, 5,692 bbl. of condensate and 12,269 bbl. of water through 1995 as part of East Cameron Block 64 Field.
