ConocoPhillips Co. on Feb. 17 said the company is experiencing significant weather-related production impacts due to severe winter weather.
The company did not quantify the amount of production that was offline.
ConocoPhillips is one of the world’s largest independent E&P companies. The Lower 48 represents the largest segment in ConocoPhillips today based on production. Current major focus areas for the Lower 48 include the Eagle Ford in South Texas and Permian Basin in West Texas and southeastern New Mexico plus the Bakken in North Dakota.
Oil producers, pipelines and refiners in Texas and New Mexico have halted operations due to a rare deep freeze, which left at least 21 people dead and knocked out power to millions.
