Investment bank Mooreland Partners said April 9 it was the financial adviser for France-based Collecte Localisation Satellites SA’s (CLS) acquisition of Horizon Marine Inc., focused on the U.S. Gulf of Mexico (GoM).
No details of the transaction were disclosed in the press release.
Horizon provides metocean forecasting services to U.S. GoM-focused companies.
Based in Toulouse, France, CLS is a leading global operator of satellite systems for positioning, data collection, ocean observation and surveillance.
"This transaction demonstrates how Mooreland successfully works with European companies that are looking for buyside M&A advisory services in connection with their North American growth strategies," said Stephen Schweich, managing director at Mooreland.
Collection Localisation Satellites is owned by French space agency CNES, but run independently.
Horizon Marine Inc. is based in Marion, Mass.
Mooreland Partners is based in Greenwich, Conn. It provides M&A and private capital advisory to the global technology industry.
