Hart Energy Conferences has announced on Feb. 27 the speaker line-up for DUG Sand and DUG Water—two new conferences that will open the DUG Permian Basin conference and exhibition. The inaugural events will run adjacent to each other on April 15. They deliver 360-degree perspectives on two of the most complex logistical challenges facing Permian Basin producers.
Both programs will delve into the current state of these critical sub-markets, from supply and demand fundamentals to regulations, logistics and emerging technologies. Topics of discussion at DUG Water will include developments in midstream economics and the technology of water management, as well as automation and the regulatory landscape. DUG Sand will explore last-mile logistics, transportation, special applications (ultra-lightweight, very fine mesh, ceramics, diverters), and self-sourcing vs. third-party supply.
An afternoon E&P spotlight from DUG Sand speaker Jason Pigott, EVP of operations and technical services for Chesapeake Energy Co., will present trends in proppant use and its impact on short- and long-term well productivity. Around the same time, Brian Bohm, a senior hydrogeologist for the Apache Corp., will give the closing keynote for DUG Water. Bohm will provide perspectives on lessons learned and successful strategies for water management.
Those who register for DUG Water or DUG Sand have the option to upgrade their passes to access preferred sessions across both events. Additionally, all four DUG Permian Basin events (the main conference, DUG Water, DUG Sand and the Minerals Forum) will provide access to over 40 sessions featuring 50 plus speakers, including:
