Blue Wolf Capital Fund III LP partnered with private-equity firm K2 Energy Capital LLC and its founder, Kevin W. Kuykendall, to pursue energy services investments, private-equity firm Blue Wolf Capital Partners LLC said May 11. The firms will co-invest in identified energy opportunities.
Kuykendall has more than 20 years’ experience in private-equity investing, handling control equity, minority equity and debt investments in the energy sector.
Before founding K2, Kuykendall created the American Capital Energy Group, which reached peak portfolio value of almost $1 billion in equity and debt investments, at American Capital Ltd. (ACAS). Prior to working at ACAS, he co-founded the Enron North America Principal Investments Group.
Blue Wolf Capital Partners LLC is based in New York. K2 Energy Capital LLC is based in Dallas.
