Arena Offshore LLC, The Woodlands, Texas, completed a wildcat in West Delta Block 87 offshore Louisiana as a gas producer from perforations at an undisclosed depth. The surface location of #B-6 OCS G27182 is on adjacent Block 86 in the Gulf of Mexico. The company plans to bring the well online at anticipated flow rates of 7 million cu. ft. of gas and seven bbl. of condensate a day. This is the first production from Block 87 in seven attempts at depths from 6,000 to 15,309 ft. Two wells on Platform B on Block 86, online from 1990 to 1998, produced 40.14 billion cu. ft. of gas, 46,136 bbl. of condensate and 154,756 bbl. of water from Pliocene and Upper Miocene zones.
