Angola will showcase offshore blocks considered frontier in advance of upcoming licensing rounds during presentations set for Angola, Houston, London and Dubai in September.
During the presentations, which will be facilitated by IHS Markit, the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels of Angola (ANPG) will provide an overview of the blocks’ geology and potential hydrocarbon reserves as well as fiscal terms, timeline for the rounds, qualification requirements and submission guidelines, IHS said in a news release.
In addition, seismic vendors with seismic coverage of the blocks on offer will also be present.
ANPG has said it will launch a bid round to award E&P rights for 10 blocks total in the Namibe Basin and Benguela sub-basin.
The Houston roadshow is scheduled for Sept. 10. The registration deadline is Sept. 6.
Other presentations will take place in Luanda, Angola, Sept. 3 (register by Aug. 27); London, Sept. 17 (register by Sept. 13) and Dubai, Sept. 23 (register by Sept. 19).
