The shareholder of Canadian International Oil Corp., alongside an affiliate of Riverstone Holdings LLC, made an offer to purchase any CIOC common shares and share purchase warrants that are not owned by it or affiliates. Offer made for C$1.675 per share and about 0.4 cents per warrant. Offer will support Riverstone’s acquisition of shares and warrants it negotiated to purchase in the secondary market. Offer extended to all shareholders and warrant holders. CIOC’s committee retained CIBC World Markets Inc. as independent valuator and financial adviser. Offer expires Dec. 29 unless withdrawn or extended.
