Received a $75 million equity commitment from Kayne Anderson Energy Funds and management. Newton was founded in September 2010 by Bud Newton to acquire and develop oil and natural gas properties with identifiable upside in the Permian Basin, Midcontinent and onshore Gulf Coast regions.
