Todd Abbott, vice president of resource plays-south at Marathon Oil, recently spoke at Hart Energy’s DUG Eagle Ford conference and exhibition in San Antonio. Following his presentation to an audience of nearly 1,200 industry attendees, Abbott sat down with Hart Energy for this video interview to discuss Marathon’s commitment to the Eagle Ford and how the play’s opportunities compare to other basins in the U.S.
He also discussed capital efficiency in the Eagle Ford and the technology and infrastructure that make success in South Texas possible. He defines what he thinks is the “sweet spot” in the play and tells why the industry shouldn't sleep on the Eagle Ford.
