Design and consulting firm Westwood Professional Services Inc. has acquired CSRS, an engineering business based in Louisiana, the company announced June 30. Financial details were not disclosed.
Westwood’s portfolio includes engineering support for wind, solar, energy storage and power delivery projects.
CSRS started from the merger between an architectural firm and an engineering firm. The company’s grants management, owner's representation and governmental advisory services will be new offerings for Westwood.
The CSRS acquisition is part of the company’s strategy to expand into new regions while strengthening its service offerings, the announcement said. Westwood has provided services to more than 25 renewable energy projects since 1997.
Westwood is based in Houston and has offices across the U.S. The deals adds four offices in Louisiana, two in Texas and one in Southern California.
Lawson & Weitzen served as legal counsel to Westwood and Butler Snow served as legal counsel to CSRS.
